Duane Kemp is a music composer emphasizing thematic and emotional accompaniment to film, television, radio,and live events.
He comes from the Rocky Mountain region of the north west United States. He first came to Switzerland in 1997 and hasrelocated his business Kemp Productions to Palezieux. Though, best known for his voice and piano skills exibited in such performances as his two stage appearances at the Jazz Festival in Chernex : Nuits du Jazz, an affiliate of the Montreaux Jazz Festival, he is a composer of film music, song writer and professor ? of piano, voice, guitar and music theory - composition.
He has achieved recognition in Professional theatre, Musical comedies, Opera, Orchestral composition for live performance, national television commercials in the U.S and is the composer of the opening and closing instrumental themes of the international french television documentary series "Decouverte" for Canal+. He has a personally held memory of playing with Gene Harris, the jazz piano great. He loves music as the passion only after his faith and his wife, the reasons he is living in Switzerland.

Career achievements
Placed first in all individual vocal competition formats entered from 1978 to 1984. Sole representative of Meridian High School to sing at the All Northwest Music Festival in 1984. Only soloist to win consecutively for two years the Outstanding Male Vocalist Award at the Idaho State Music Festival held at Boise State University during 1983 - 84.
Boise State University Music Department Vocal Scholarship Award Recipient 1984. Boise State University Music Department Vocal Scholarship Award Recipient 1985. Boise State University Music Department Vocal Scholarship Award Recipient 1986. Boise State University Music Department Vocal Scholarship Award Recipient 1987. Sole student composer selected to showcase original orchestral composition for the President's. Concert highlighting Western Composers at Boise State University in 1986. He has organized 40 jams session in Switzerland. Chernex Jazz Festival Performance from 2001 to 2003. He is invited for the second time to play at the Festival of Lausanne, Switzerland, 2003 - 2004.

Composer of Accoustic and Digital Music, Audio Production, Piano key dexterity, sequencing and editing skills for - Cubase, Finalcut Pro, Encore Notation software, Roland MC500, midi function and usage with instrument voicing and arrangement.
